E.ON signs European multi-frame agreement with Zaptec
E.ON has signed a framework agreement with Zaptec regarding the sale of the company's products in 18 European countries. Initially, E.ON will sell Zaptec's products in Sweden and Norway.
"Zaptec produces high-quality products at favourable prices. We are very pleased with the agreement, which complements our product portfolio with a fast, sleek charging station with smart features that efficiently charges and adjusts according to the lowest electricity prices," says Robert Tretinjak, Head of E.ON eMobility.
E.ON will sell Zaptec's products to private customers through digital channels. In Sweden, the package includes certified installation and an offering for smart charging with hourly rate agreements from E.ON.
The agreement came into effect in mid-June, and E.ON has launched the Zaptec Go charging station in Sweden. The product will be launched in Norway this fall.
Zaptec is a Norwegian technology company that designs, manufactures, and sells charging stations, charging infrastructure, and software for charging electric vehicles in private and public parking areas. Zaptec's CEO, Peter Bardenfleth-Hansen, believes that the European agreement is a key step towards realizing the vision of electric mobility on the continent.
"E.ON is one of Europe's leading energy companies and brings expertise and resources that provide security and benefits for our expansion plans. There is no doubt that this European framework agreement will contribute to more electric cars and increased access to electric charging in the future," says Peter Bardenfleth-Hansen.
