As part of the agreement, Sonepar Germany will add Zaptec's full charging portfolio to its product offering and distribute the solutions through its nationwide branch and logistics network. This includes the residential charger Zaptec Go 2 and the scalable charging solution Zaptec Pro with M&E, designed for larger installations.

Greater availability for EV charging projects

Through Sonepar's established distribution network, electrical contractors and project partners throughout Germany will be able to access Zaptec products through their existing procurement channels. Fast nationwide delivery and local support will help simplify the planning and implementation of charging infrastructure projects.

The partnership strengthens Zaptec's presence in one of Europe's largest EV markets and makes it easier for professionals to specify and deploy charging solutions for a wide range of applications.

Designed for complex charging environments

One of the key advantages highlighted by Sonepar is Zaptec's patented phase balancing technology combined with Powerline Communication (PLC). These technologies enable more efficient use of available electrical capacity, particularly in challenging environments such as underground parking garages and multi dwelling buildings.

This allows charging infrastructure to be expanded gradually and cost effectively without requiring significant upgrades to the electrical connection. As demand for EV charging continues to grow in residential and commercial properties, scalable solutions are becoming increasingly important.

Zaptec Pro with M&E is specifically designed for networked charging installations in apartment buildings, commercial properties, and parking facilities. The system supports phased expansion, making it possible to add charging points as demand increases while maintaining efficient energy management.

Supporting home charging and fleet drivers

Alongside larger installations, the partnership also supports the growing demand for home charging. Zaptec Go 2 offers a compact and user-friendly charging solution for private homeowners and company car drivers who want a reliable charging experience at home.

Together, Zaptec Go 2 and Zaptec Pro with M&E provide a unified portfolio that addresses both residential and project based charging needs.

A shared commitment to electrification

According to Daniel Gwercher, Managing Director of Zaptec Germany, the partnership represents an important milestone in the company's growth strategy in Germany.

By combining Zaptec's expertise in smart charging technology with Sonepar's nationwide reach, technical advisory services, and digital ordering platforms, both companies aim to support electrical contractors, housing associations, commercial property owners, and industrial customers throughout the entire lifecycle of charging infrastructure projects.
