Trude vil bygge en inkluderende kultur på tvers av landegrenser og skape større identitet til selskapet

Trude will build an inclusive culture across borders and create a greater identity for the company

After 16 years at oil and gas company Emerson, Trude Schulberg is moving towards the green shift as the Chief People and Culture Officer at Zaptec. With a company that is growing rapidly across national borders, there are high demands on holistic leadership and culture building, and Schulberg takes on the task with curiosity and drive.

"I’ve worked with HR since I started working, and you could say that I’ve travelled all the way through the HR system. After 16 years in a very exciting company where I got to work closely with American culture in particular and experienced change in the organisation, it’s great to come to such an innovative environment as Zaptec, says Schulberg."

At the electric car company, the new Chief People and Culture Officer has started mapping out what the organisation should focus on first. The Stavanger-based company has grown significantly over the past year, and Zaptec has subsidiaries in Sweden, Denmark, the UK, France, Switzerland, Germany and Benelux (Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg). The company also has ambitions for the USA.

"After just over a month at Zaptec, I have been able to get to know the culture, which is characterised by an open and inclusive culture, as well as a young and intense environment. Preserving this culture and managing to build the same good culture across the entire organisation is a task that I find particularly exciting, and working together in teams across national borders so that the entire organisation pulls in the same direction is something I’m passionate about, says Schulberg."

Some of the activities that Trude will embark on include updating Zaptec’s value base and creating a greater identity for the company across the group. She will also launch a leadership development programme to build improve talent internally.

"I strongly believe that happiness comes to those who work hard. Purposeful communication that created good employee engagement across the organisation contributes to a positive working environment, and I look forward to continuing to work with this at Zaptec, Schulberg concludes."
